Today I began filling bookbags for kids that will be attending the Back to School Carnival in a couple of weeks. I have never seen so many packets of glue sticks and highlighters in my life, and I still have hours of work ahead of me! My verse today is from Acts 20:35 …
“In all things I have shown you that working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive'”
This is the kind of work I don’t mind doing, I know that these bookbags are going to be given to people who can really use the supplies for this upcoming school year. I know that the parents that receive these might not be able to afford all those notebooks and binders that their children need for school. Doing things like this is rewarding because I know that i’m helping somebody out and that it truly is more blessed to give than to receive.
