Trivia Question

Last week’s Question: In Matthew 28:19 (the “Great Commission”) where are the disciples supposed to go making disciples, and baptizing, and teaching?

  1. Everywhere!
  2. Beginning in Jerusalem, and spreading out from there.
  3. At home, work, and play.
  4. To all nations (peoples)

The correct answer is 4, to all nations (peoples) . We had a HUGE NUMBER of players last week (30!) and our winner of our $10 Amazon Gift Card is … Ed and Lisa!

This week’s Question: In John 21:12-13 what did the disciples have for breakfast with Jesus?

  1. Cheese grits and toast.
  2. Olive oil and wine.
  3. Grilled fish and bread.
  4. “the Bread of Life”.

Bible Number

Today’s Bible Number is a math “perfect number” but in Bible lingo it represents mankind. Click the video below to hear more about this number.

Prayer

You may pray this out loud if you wish:

“Dear God, it seems like we are in a season of death and sadness … at least that’s the news around us. Lord, give us Good News! We prefer LIFE and JOY. I know that circumstances and everyday life is challenging for many these days. I especially think of and pray for these:

  • Family members: ________________________________.
  • Friends: ____________________.
  • Neighbor: ____________________.
  • Church Friend: ____________________.
  • “Frontline Hero”: ____________________.

For these and so many others we ask for wholeness and safety. Basically God, we have been humbled as a people and we are reminded of our frailty and utter dependence upon You for life, and health, and “enough” to get by everyday.

‘Give us THIS DAY, our daily bread’ has never meant more than it does now.

‘For thine IS the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever and ever.’ Amen.

Pastor Alan will be LIVE on our Facebook Page at 11:00 am. We will share your prayer requests (submitted from the check-in form above) and enjoy being together via Facebook.

Worship Song: “What a Beautiful Name.”

Our Lord is risen … Oh Praise His Name!

Special Song: “I Can Only Imagine.” (with a special guest)

His name is Gru.

Sermon: “Jesus Fills the World.”

Offering

To make an online donation please head over to our SECURE DONATION PAGE. It’s simple, safe, and easy. (This page will open in another window, after submitting your donation use your “back” button to return to this page.)

You may also make a donation via mail: Sunny Hills Church, 2973 N 4th ST, Wytheville, VA 24382.

Finally, thank you for your support and encouragement during this crisis. A huge gift you can make in the name of Jesus is a phone call to a friend, co-worker, or neighbor who may be experiencing worry, loneliness, or fear. WE HAVE JESUS, what an awesome gift to share to a hurting world.

Closing Prayer

“Oh God, as we click away from this ‘virtual service’ help us to remain connected tightly to You most of all. Help my Bible reading and prayer times continue to mold me into the person You want me to be. Bless me, my family, my church, our nation, and strangers everywhere who are wondering ‘what’s next.’ In Jesus’ name, amen.”
