At our covered-dish dinner Sunday night I was completely surprised (and pleasantly so!) with a wonderful “pastor’s appreciation” gift package: One night at a mountain cabin retreat. After church services on November 9th we are offering our “church membership class” for people who are interested in joining our church family. The class lasts 1 hour and acquaints people with the background, purposes, and commitments of our church. At the conclusion of the class attendees receive a commitment card which they may sign and return to the pastor if they wish to become a church member. Church membership at Sunny Hills is defined a bit different than at some churches....
