Servicemen’s Prayer Guide

Please pray for these servicemen connected to our church:

  • Michael Lawson, USMC (grandson of Bob and Berlene Shook)
  • Calvin Shook, Army (son of Bob and Berlene Shook)
  • Daniel Kilgore, Army (son of Colene Kilgore)
  • Matthew Schappacher, Army (son of Dave and JoAnna Schappacher)

PRAYER GUIDE:

“Arise, cry out in the night, as the watches of the night begin, pour out your heart like water in the presence of the Lord. Lift up your hands to Him for the lives of your children.” — Lamentations 2:19

Sunday: Pray that our servicemen would experience the joy of the Lord.
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. — Romans 15:13

Monday: Pray that God would protect our servicemen from harm.
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” Surely He will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you will find refuge, His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.
– Psalm 91

Tuesday: Pray that our servicemen would find peace and rest.
I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety. — Psalm 4:8

Wednesday: Pray that our servicemen would have faith in God.
Have faith in the Lord your God and you will be upheld. — 2 Chronicles 2:20

Thursday: Pray that our servicemen would receive wisdom.
For the Lord gives wisdom, and from His mouth come knowledge and understanding. He holds victory in store for the upright, He is a shield to those whose walk is blameless. — Proverbs 2:6-7

Friday: Pray that our servicemen would be healthy.
But for you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings. And you will go out and leap like calves released from the stall. — Malachi 4:2

Saturday: Pray for our servicemen’s families.
Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, trust also in Me. — John 14:1
