So I open my phone this morning and this is what I see:

We knew a weather system was approaching. The weather people with the aide of many high-powered technical gizmos said “SNOW” which has turned into “sNOw.” Freezing rain and sleet, at least to start.
Predicting the future is hard.
Jeremiah 31:31-33 (NLT2)
[31] “The day is coming,” says the LORD, “when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and Judah.
[32] This covenant will not be like the one I made with their ancestors when I took them by the hand and brought them out of the land of Egypt. They broke that covenant, though I loved them as a husband loves his wife,” says the LORD.
[33] “But this is the new covenant I will make with the people of Israel on that day,” says the LORD. “I will put my instructions deep within them, and I will write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.
That day is here. Christmas penetrates the heart. It happened to the Grinch! It happened to me … Jesus has changed my life, deeply at the heart level. The prediction of Jeremiah has come to pass as we put our faith in Jesus.
Let’s celebrate the “new covenant with people.” Let’s move beneath a surface devotion to Christ and allow Him to do what He wants: to go deep into our hearts in a life-changing way.
Prayer: “Dear God, make us Your new covenant people afresh this Christmas. Enough with the old, we say. Bring in the new! New hope. New instruction. New hearts. Thank You for predictions come true. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
