To think that the God of the Universe thinks enough of me that He provides me His Son as a Savior, it’s remarkable.

Dear Church Family,

Ephesians 4:11-12 helps us to understand God’s plan for leadership in His church:

“Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. 12 Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ.”

Kim and I absolutely consider our time with you as a gift from God! Thank you for loving us.

The transition from a founding Pastor to the “next guy” is challenging. Three years ago I began planning for my retirement on my 65th birthday, August 24, 2025. A critical piece of that transition is for me to step aside as Senior Pastor and entrust you to call the person you believe God has prepared to lead our church into the next chapter of our church life. That moment arrives today, April 6, at 11:15 when I will resign, and you will consider calling Steve Taylor to be Senior Pastor.

I will continue to serve as Associate Pastor of Sunny Hills Church until my retirement. The adventure continues, and God’s Kingdom is still advancing!

Sincerely,

Alan C. Wilder

Closing Prayer

“Oh God, as we click away from this ‘online service’ help us to remain connected tightly to You most of all. Help my Bible reading and prayer times continue to mold me into the person You want me to be. Use me to share Your amazing love as I engage with my friends, family, and neighbors this week. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
