As I sit here thinking about thanksgiving I have a number of things I am very thankful for:
- My relationship with Christ. Nothing is more important in my life than Christ, and I’m thankful that He still loves me when my actions don’t quite measure up to that statement! My Lord is so forgiving, so tender, so helpful, so everything to me. Thank you, Jesus.
- Kim. There isn’t a more patient, competent, lovely wife in the entire world. Period.
- Kids and pup. I am so thankful for my kids and my dog. They each provide such pride and satisfaction. I’m amazed that God has produced in each of them (well, maybe not Jordan) a character of integrity and wholeness. Wow, is that ever a blessing.
- Church and community. Sunny Hills is a wonderful faith-family … and Wytheville is such a terrific place to live, play, and serve. Thank you God for my church and community!
There are also friends of course. And family. And so much more. Life’s not perfect for me, but even the bad stuff isn’t so bad in the light of God’s love and the support of those who love me. Thank you Heavenly Father for your provision and protection in my life. Amen.
